Im not gonna pretend i have great sources anywhere in the world haha :) But i do travel extensively and know people from asia europe africa and america and so far i was really surprised not hearing any destress calls so far! But they are now arriving, people run out of money, eat less or just drink water, families hosting capability is overstretched and people realize oh.....the economy is opening but i cant find a job!
Seems many retail traders have used the lockdown to start trading stocks. When i look in Asia dough i dont see stocks rallying, when i look in Europe i also dont see any rallye. Its only in the USA and mostly in the Nasdaq that i see some specific stocks rallye or even make new highs like microsoft. So i think we reached pretty much the phase where the Reality will set in that this crysis will continue into 2021 and buying stocks is ok but theres still time to do that later too. Im curious about the time around October2020 as a turnpoint for every asset this year. Gold has rallied like crazy. This seems to point to Stagflation where we have rising living costs and expenses but bad economy and less income. The society in the West is also becoming quite divided. I tried having a rational discussion about black lives matter or about socialism or Global Warming or about governments Pension mismanagement......impossible haha ;) Gets so emotional so quickly! Id say the West will be sliding more into a decline of an empire and loose significance slowly over next decades while Asia will be gaining Power, Wealth, Competitiveness. Opposite of 2007-2020 where Asia was mostly flat in general, Im for 2021 especially interested in investing in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia for the next 20 years and expect in general better returns than in the West. I read 3 books about the collapse of the Dutch Empire that made me realize collapse of Empires take Decades and you can watch how theire slowly declining and most people are just trapped and cant just move and go to the rising power/Region and often theres also Capital controls. So be smart, move early. Comments are closed.
